-Katie Beatty was our guest speaker. She talked about the writing process, and how to publish a book, poem, or anything. She also talked about different companies and other people that are trying to get books in the hands of children. She then talked about her son John and how he fought cancer and how she would read books to him. After he did win his battle, Katie and John Started a program where it gives book, and takes the books, to the children at the UNM Children’s Hospital. These books are given to children that are battling cancer.
